About Lowther Lakeland Fell & Trail Run
The Lowther Lakeland Fell & Trail Run takes runners around a hilly circuit of Lowther Valley based at Lowther Castle near Penrith on 9 August 2026. This 21 km trail event features approximately 430 metres of climbing and includes a ford crossing of the River Lowther as it winds through the Lake District landscape.
The race is organised under FRA permit with UK Athletics insurance and operates as a CL category event. Entry is by pre-entry only, with a minimum age of 18, and team entry is available with three counters in both open categories. Proceeds from the race support Eden Valley Hospice.
