Held on 9 April 2027, LSD Back Yard Ultra takes place at Stanley Terrace North Car Park in Morpeth, Northumberland, following the backyard ultra format. Runners complete a 4-mile trail loop through farm track, woodland and countryside within each hour. Those who finish in time earn a place on the next start line; anyone unable to complete the loop within the hour, or who chooses to stop, ends their race. The event continues until a single runner remains, crowned Last Standing.
The course is runnable but grows more demanding as the hours accumulate. The event operates as a festival-style gathering, with a central hub featuring an aid station, food vendors, hot drinks, and overnight facilities including camping for runners, crews and spectators. Entertainment and support continue throughout the day and into the night as the field reduces.
