Lucky Dip 10 takes place on 3 January 2027 as a winter running event centred on a 10.5 mile trail run around Beachy Head in Eastbourne. The in-person course starts and finishes in East Dean and is almost entirely trail, with approximately 1490 feet of ascent and descent across a 99% trail and 1% tarmac mix. Runners must be at least 16 years old to take part.

The distinctive element is the "lucky dip" draw that happens after participants finish the in-person race. Each runner pulls an extra distance from a hat, which they then complete virtually at their own pace between 3 January and 20 March to reach their total challenge distance. Alternatively, runners can opt to complete the entire challenge remotely by selecting a race distance and logging miles virtually. Those choosing the virtual route can track their runs via Strava groups or submit weekly updates to the organiser.
