About Manchester To Liverpool Ultra
On 26 March 2027, runners tackle a 50-mile trail ultra from Manchester to Liverpool, following the Trans-Pennine Trail, Manchester Ship Canal and River Mersey. The course is well marked and operates under UK Athletics rules and Trail Running Association regulations, with a 14-hour cut-off.
Six checkpoints stationed along the route provide refreshments, food and medical cover. Participants can arrange for a dropbag to be transported to the finish at North End Sports & Social Club in Liverpool. The event features live GPS tracking via GB Race Tracker and chip-timed results.
Entrants must be at least 20 years old and have previously completed an organised marathon-distance event. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof coat with sealed seams, long-sleeved base layer, water container, mobile phone in waterproof covering, foil blanket, two headtorches and a whistle.
