About Martello Half Marathon
Martello Rotary Seaford and Seaford Striders Running Club organise this trail half marathon, which takes runners across 13.1 miles of undulating terrain linking Seaford's seafront with the South Downs. The course features notable climbs and varied ground, with water stations positioned along the route including one at approximately four miles where runners must check in within an hour for safety reasons.
Base camp for the event is the Scout Hut in the Salts Recreation Ground, where registration, number collection and bag storage take place. The seafront offers ample free parking, though spaces can fill quickly; Richmond Road has a nearby pay and display car park. Seaford railway station and local bus stops are about a five minute walk away. Toilets are available at the Salts Recreation Ground with additional external facilities arranged for race day.
