About Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Hampshire
The Maverick Original Hampshire takes runners across the chalk downland and trails surrounding Winchester on 20 March 2027. Based at Matterley Basin Grand Prix Track, the event features three distances—5 km, 16 km and 24 km—all on trail terrain. Participants will encounter open landscapes, flowing singletrack, undulating ridgelines and woodland sections, with routes passing the River Itchen and extending toward Cheesefoot Head.
Fully marked courses guide runners throughout, with fuel and hydration stations positioned on the longer routes. The event includes timing and online results, photography, bag drop facilities and food and drink. Finishers receive a medal, and free parking is available on site. The venue sits within the South Downs National Park and is accessible from Winchester train station. Dogs are welcome but spaces are limited and must be pre-registered. A cup-free policy is in place at outposts, so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle.
