About Maverick North Downs Trail
The Maverick North Downs Trail spans 50 km of undulating forest terrain across Surrey's North Downs on 19 June 2027. The route weaves through ancient woodland and rolling fields, taking in sections of Winterfold and Hurtwood Forest with views from Pitch Hill and Leith Hill via the North Downs Way.
The course is fully marked, with four support outposts along the route offering snacks, gels and electrolyte drinks. Runners must bring a reusable cup or bottle. Mandatory kit for the ultra includes a waterproof jacket, mobile phone, at least 800 calories, a minimum of 1 litre of water, a foil blanket, whistle, self-adherent bandage and a cap or buff. Cut-off times are enforced. On-site facilities include free parking, bag drop, timing and results, event photography, and a finishers medal. An event village with food and drink is on site.
