About Meanwood Valley Trail Race
Meanwood Valley Trail Race takes runners through Leeds's green spaces on a 7-mile trail circuit. Based around Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park, the single-lap course is undulating and winds through a mix of terrain, taking in distinctive landmarks like the "Seven Arches", the "Slabbering Baby" and a tunnel beneath the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The race starts and finishes at Old Leo's Rugby Club on Sunday 23 August 2026.
Organised by Valley Striders Athletics Club, the event is limited to 450 participants. Trail or fell running shoes are recommended for the varied ground. Facilities at race headquarters include water, toilets, changing facilities, showers and baggage storage, with refreshments available afterwards. Parking is limited, so car sharing or using alternative transport is encouraged.
