About Middlesbrough Half Marathon Presented by Science in Sport
The Middlesbrough Half Marathon takes runners on a trail route through the heart of the city on 7 March 2027. Starting at Centre Square outside the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, the 13.1-mile course passes through Albert Park and sweeps by the Riverside Stadium before looping around the historic docks and returning to the city centre finish.
The half marathon begins at 9:00 am, with a 3-hour cut-off time due to road closures. Participants must be 17 or over. A junior race also takes place the same day at noon. The event raises funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Water stations are positioned at 3, 6 and 9 miles, with additional water at the finish. Baggage storage and portable toilets are available in the event village, and a secure area is provided for runners to leave their belongings during the race.
