About Midgley Moor Fell Race
Midgley Moor Fell Race takes runners across the moorland terrain around Midgley Moor near Halifax on 14 February 2027. The 8 km trail course climbs approximately 381 metres and features route choice for those familiar with the fell, passing checkpoints including Crow Hill, Sheep Stones Trig Point, Dimmin Dale Edge and Brown Hill. Runners navigate without GPS assistance, and the organiser provides a route map.
The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association and run under UKA rules. FRA Mandatory Kit is compulsory. The event is based at Booth Cricket Club, though parking there is limited and car sharing is encouraged. Access is possible by rail to Halifax, Sowerby Bridge or Mytholmroyd. Runners must be at least 16 years old.
