About Mildenhall Droves 10 Mile Social Run
Forming part of the Brecks Outdoor Festival, this guided social trail run follows historic drove routes around Mildenhall and Lakenheath. The 10 mile loop is led by experienced run leaders who divide participants into smaller groups matched to pace, allowing for a relaxed experience with stops to enjoy the countryside and chat along the way.
The event is informal and non-competitive, with no timing or medals. Participants should be prepared for trail conditions, though road shoes are acceptable unless the ground is very wet. The atmosphere is social rather than solitary—headphones are not permitted to keep runners alert to farm traffic and to encourage conversation. Refreshments are provided at the finish on Eldo Road in West Suffolk, where free parking and toilet facilities are available. The run is suitable for those aged 16 and over.
