About MK24 Midsummer RunFest
A 24-hour running event held over the midsummer weekend, MK24 Midsummer RunFest takes place near Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes on 19-20 June. Participants tackle an approximately 6.55-mile trail circuit, completing as many laps as they can manage during the 24-hour window. The format suits individual runners and teams of two to six, with juniors aged 12 to 18 eligible to participate under UKA rules. Younger juniors under 15 can run half-lap distances of roughly 5 km.
The event site is equipped with shower and toilet facilities, marquees for rest, and accommodation options including tee-pee tents and campsite pitches. Free water, snacks and hot drinks are provided throughout, alongside paid food vendors. Between laps, runners can enjoy activities and games in the event village. Participants earn recognition based on lap counts and fastest lap times, with awards presented at the end.
