About Monsal Tinsel Trail Christmas 10K
The Monsal Tinsel Trail Christmas 10K brings festive trail running to the Peak District on 5 December 2026. Starting from Bakewell Station in Derbyshire, this 10 kilometre event takes runners through traffic-free countryside over undulating multi-terrain trails. Route maps and GPX files are available in advance, so participants can familiarise themselves with the route beforehand.
The event includes a prize for the best dressed runner, with trophies and prizes awarded to leading finishers. All participants receive a bespoke medal and complimentary photographs. Parking is available at two pay-and-display car parks about 500 metres from the start, with additional spectator facilities and a café at nearby Hassop Station, roughly a mile along the trail. The event also offers a 5K and Junior Run option.
