Runners seeking relatively gentle forest miles will find Delamere Forest's terrain welcoming. The Montane Delamere Forest Trail takes place on 24 January 2027 at Delamere Visitor Centre near Chester, offering two trail distances: 10 km and 13 miles. Both routes predominantly follow wide forest trails with some single-file sections, staying mostly flat with gentle undulations until a notable climb up Old Pale emerges in the final miles. The 13-mile event operates under a 3.5-hour cut-off.
The races are electronically timed, with finishers receiving bespoke medals. Event photographs are made freely available after the race. Runners must be at least 16 years old on the day.
