About MTC Blue Caps
The MTC Blue Caps is the inaugural edition of a 36-mile trail ultra forming day four of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series. Held on 13 July 2029, the event starts at Premier Inn Wigan North and finishes at The Swan in Tarporley, following the established route of the MTC JOGLE event but with reduced daily distances. Competitors will pass through checkpoints at Garswood, Mill Lane in Warrington and Little Leigh.
This debut edition is limited to a small field, with entries capped at 40 competitors. All finishers receive a medal, with champions in both categories earning bespoke trophies. Entrants must be aged 20 or over and will be required to carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid. Organisers enforce a minimum average pace of 4.0 mph throughout the event.
