About MTC GRIMALKIN
On 30 May 2028, the MTC Grimalkin takes runners on a 35 km trail ultra across Perthshire. The route begins at Travelodge Perth A9 and concludes at Atholl Guest House in Pitlochry, passing through checkpoints at Bankfoot, Dunkeld and Pitlochry. This single-day event forms the fourth stage of the Mount to Coast SCOTIA series.
The race operates with a limited field of up to 40 competitors, including dedicated places for multi-race SCOTIA entrants. Organisers supply competitor tracking devices with SOS capability and provide route maps and GPX files in advance. Runners must meet mandatory kit requirements including a backpack, head torch, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid kit and emergency food, plus a reusable cup. A minimum average pace of 4 mph applies as a cut-off standard, and all entrants must be at least 20 years old.
