About Mud Madness - Chatelherault
Mud Madness takes runners onto the trail terrain of Chatelherault Country Park near Avon Bridge in South Lanarkshire on 4 October 2026. The event, organised by South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture, features a 1 km children's lawn run and a 5 km family mud run with obstacles and water hazards positioned near the river Avon.
The 5 km course will be clearly marked with signs, tape and arrows, with marshals stationed along the route. Participants receive a t-shirt at registration and a medal, water and a snack at the finish. The park's Visitor Centre provides toilet facilities; runners are advised to bring a change of clothes and a bin bag for the journey home, as there are no on-site changing facilities or showers. On-site parking is available at the Play Park and BBQ Area.
