About NAV4 - Pennine 39
Pennine 39 suits runners and competent walkers ready for sustained mountain travel across remote upland terrain. This supported trail event follows a classic section of the Pennine Way between Teesdale and Alston, taking in High Force, Cauldron's Snout, Cow Green reservoir, High Cup Nick, Great Dun Fell and Crossfell on an approximately 37-mile route. The 39-mile option is also available. Navigation support comes via GPX file, and four main checkpoints provide water access, shelter and refreshments along the way.
Taking place on 8 May 2027, the event finishes at Alston YHA hostel, which serves as the event centre. Bunk accommodation is available at the hostel for those wishing to stay overnight before or after the race.
