About Newark Half Marathon
Running through Nottinghamshire countryside, the Newark Half Marathon traces a single-loop course that departs from Hawton Road and winds past Hawton and Cotham before returning to finish in Sconce and Devon Park. Held annually since 1982, this closed road race has established itself as a fixture in the running calendar.
The 13.1-mile event takes place on 16 August 2026, organised by RunThrough in partnership with DB Wood. A Junior Race runs alongside the main half marathon, offering younger participants their own opportunity to take part.
