About Nine Edges
The Nine Edges suits runners and walkers who relish moorland and gritstone terrain. This 20-mile off-road event, organised by Edale Mountain Rescue Team, follows a high moorland course from Fairholmes to the Robin Hood Inn near Birchen Edge in the Peak District National Park, with approximately 900 metres of total ascent. The route takes in edges and open ground across some of Derbyshire's most characteristic landscape.
Checkpoints along the way provide water, bananas and jelly babies. Finishers receive a free drink at the Robin Hood Inn, with transport arranged back to Fairholmes. The event takes place on 12 September 2026 in the High Peak.
