About North Downs 50 Ultra Challenge
Held at Loseley Park in Guildford, the North Downs 50 Ultra Challenge takes runners and walkers into the Surrey countryside on 31 July 2027. Participants can choose between looped and point-to-point routes across the North Downs Way and surrounding trails, with an Ultra March category for those preferring a brisk walking pace and a Trailblazerz option for faster runners.
The event is heavily supported throughout, with rest stops positioned roughly every 12.5 km offering meals at approximately 25 km intervals, hot and cold drinks, and provisions tailored to dietary requirements. Rest areas include seating, toilets, medical facilities, changing rooms and baggage storage. Medical support on course comprises doctors, paramedics, first aid staff, podiatrists and massage therapists stationed at stops and patrolling the route. The course is waymarked and supported by GPS tracking via the event app, with timing logged at each rest stop.
