About North Wales 50K & 100K
The North Wales 50K & 100K takes runners along the North Wales coast on 24 April 2027, following the waymarked North Wales Path from Prestatyn towards Bangor. The shorter 50K distance covers 54.8km with 2700ft of ascent, finishing at West Shore in Llandudno. The full 100km route encompasses the entire path with 8000ft of elevation gain, offering a more extended challenge across trail terrain.
Both races blend coastal trails with inland hill sections, passing Conwy Castle, Great Orme, Aber Falls and Penrhyn Castle. Multiple wave starts between 4am and 5:30am allow runners to depart according to their expected pace, while aid stations are positioned throughout the route. The 100km features a drop bag service, and real-time GPS tracking is available for both distances.
