About Northern Ireland and Ulster Championship Bangor 10K
A 10 kilometre road race doubling as the Northern Ireland and Ulster Championship, the Seaton Classic takes runners on a tour of Bangor starting from Castle Park outside Bangor Castle. The route descends into the city centre before sweeping along the coastal areas of Ballyholme and Groomsport, with a notable climb around the 9 kilometre mark before the final push to the finish in Ward Park.
The predominantly flat and fast course is well marshalled by volunteers from North Down Athletic Club, with the route clearly marked throughout. As the roads remain open to traffic, participants should follow marshal instructions along the way.
