About NSCCL Stafford Common
The North Staffs Cross Country League returns to Stafford Common for the second round of its four-race season on 17 October 2026. This traditional cross country fixture takes place on the trail terrain at Stafford College and is restricted to first claim members of affiliated clubs, who must wear their club colours.
Scoring operates on both team and individual bases, with the structure varying by age group. Under 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s compete with three scores counting towards team results, whilst senior competitors are split into two divisions with different team score requirements and the possibility of promotion and relegation. Age categories are determined by date of birth and assigned according to age on 31 August, with under 11s needing to be at least nine on race day. Individual scoring across the league's four races counts all races for seniors and the best three of four for younger age groups.
