About Open to Offas
Open to Offas takes runners and walkers across the Clwydian Hills in north-east Wales on 8 August 2026. Organised by LDWA Merseystride and based at Cilcain Village Hall, the event offers three trail distances: 16, 24 and 32 miles.
All routes climb into the hills and follow the Offa's Dyke Path over Moel Famau, returning through wooded countryside and Loggerheads country park. The longer options continue further towards Llanarmon-yn-Ial. A cut-off applies to the 32-mile route, with late arrivals required to take an alternative course. Participants should carry Explorer 265 or Landranger 116 maps or an electronic equivalent. Checkpoint refreshments and finish facilities are provided, and dogs on leads are welcome.
