About OTT Marathon
OTT Marathon runs two mountain trail races in the Brecon Beacons on 15 May 2027. Based at Parkwood Dolygaer near Merthyr Tydfil, the marathon covers approximately 26.2 miles over a looped route through high terrain, taking in Pen Y Fan, Fan Y Big, Talybont Reservoir and Tor y Foel before returning to the start. Runners will encounter three checkpoints along the way, with a six-hour cutoff at the 20.5-mile mark.
The 10-mile trail race follows a similar high-ground route with one checkpoint at seven miles. This distance suits those seeking a shorter mountain experience without the marathon's extended commitment. Both events demand substantial kit preparation, including waterproof clothing, emergency rations or water, navigation tools, and thermal layers, reflecting the exposed nature of the Brecon terrain. All finishers receive an OTT coaster and a buff.
