About PAGAN Trails
PAGAN Trails takes runners across the trail terrain of north Dartmoor during midwinter, threading through an area rich in stone circles and ancient pagan sites. Based in Chagford, the routes wind through the moorland landscape where Dartmoor meets the valleys of the Upper Teign and Bovey Rivers.
Two distances are on offer: a half marathon of over 14 miles with almost 700 metres of ascent, and a marathon stretching beyond 28 miles with over 1500 metres of climb. Both present a significant winter challenge across demanding terrain. The marathon distance is supported by trackers who monitor runners throughout the event.
