About Pegasus - The RIDUM
Pegasus – The RIDUM brings a 30-mile ultra marathon to South East Wales on 5 September 2026, based at Caerphilly Piccadilly. The route follows the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk, taking runners across ridge tops around the Caerphilly basin with a total elevation gain of 4,252 feet. Terrain varies throughout, encompassing lanes, trails and woodland, with the highest point at Mynydd Machen.
The event is designed to be inclusive and supported, with fully stocked checkpoints along the way and no strict time limits. Participants receive a Pegasus medal and post-race care at the finish. This is an opportunity to experience a challenging trail run through the Welsh valleys with a welcoming atmosphere.
