About Pendleton Fell Race
A five-mile fell race taking in the South and West Pennines, Pendleton Fell Race climbs 457 metres across trail terrain in the Ribble Valley. The event takes place on 29 August 2026, starting from Pendleton Village Hall near Clitheroe.
Runners must be at least 16 years old. Entry is available on the day only. The course is established, with a male record of 30:38 set in 1983 and a female record of 36:36 from 1984. The race is insured through the FRA and permitted by UK Athletics.
Pendleton village has a pub, and local refreshments including homemade cakes and jams will be available after the race. Parking in the village should be approached responsibly.
