About Penn An Wlas
Penn An Wlas takes place on 11 July 2027 as a 10-mile trail race based at Warrens Bakery in St Just, Cornwall. The single-lap route follows the Cornish coast path and inland footpaths, taking in Sennen Cove, Gwynver, Sennen, Bottoms and Polgigga before returning via Nanjizal. Runners will encounter a mix of terrain including trail, road sections, grass and gravel tracks, with hills and faster running sections throughout.
The course covers remote footpaths, so participants should come prepared. All finishers receive a medal and a free beer, with prizes awarded to the top three finishers in both male and female categories, plus team and "True Grit" awards.
