Designed as a sustained endurance challenge across chalk downland, farmland and rural trails, the Pewsey Vale Ultra suits runners prepared for a full day and night effort. This 125 km point-to-point race starts and finishes at Linkenholt Activity Centre near Andover, following the Pewsey Vale Circular as it links trails and footpaths through Wiltshire and North Hampshire in one continuous loop.
The course mixes steady climbing with runnable sections across varied terrain. Runners navigate the route with full waymarking and GPX files, supported by aid stations positioned at regular intervals throughout. The event operates a 24-hour cut-off, with checkpoints offering food, drinks and medical cover as competitors manage their pacing across the distance.
