About PFW Running - Ribble Runfest
Ribble Runfest offers a looped trail running experience in central Preston, where participants can tackle either 10 km or 50 km on August 23, 2026. The course follows hard surface paths beside the River Ribble, taking in Avenham Park and Miller Park before crossing into Upper Farm Nature Reserve and leisure park. A six hour time limit applies to all distances, with a 5 hour 30 minute cutoff to start the final lap for the ultra distance.
The event is open to runners aged 18 and over. Those aged 18 to 19 can enter up to marathon distance, while participants over 20 have no upper distance restriction. On-course provisions include snacks, water, cordial and coke. All finishers receive a medal and post-run goodies.
