About PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run
PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run takes place at Stanley Park in Blackpool on 15 November 2026. Held in support of World Diabetes Day, the event raises funds for Breakthrough T1D, a charity dedicated to finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
The format is a 6-hour timed run where participants complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. The course consists of a 3.1 mile loop on flat tarmac with a short gravel section. Runners must complete at least one lap to be classified as a finisher. Those aged 18-19 are restricted to a maximum distance of a marathon. The event operates under UKA rules with a Trail Running Association race permit and is limited to 100 entrants.
Drinks and snacks are provided throughout. All finishers receive an official time, a medal and a post-race gift.
