About PHOENIX - Christmas Advent Run
Phoenix Running brings its Christmas Advent Run to Walton-on-Thames on 29 November 2026, starting from a field near The Weir on Waterside Drive. The 5 km trail route follows the scenic Thames towpath, offering a flat and fast course along either the Blue Bridge route heading west or the Hampton Court route heading east, depending on conditions confirmed closer to the event.
Organised by Phoenix Running, now in their tenth year of hosting inclusive events across the South-East, the event welcomes runners of all abilities. Participants receive a finishers' medal, digital certificate and same-day results. The aid station stocks water, squash, cola, jelly sweets, crisps and pretzels, with vegan options clearly marked. Free parking is available a short walk from the start, and The Weir Pub sits right next to the finish line, offering refreshments and a convenient spot for spectators.
