About Pieces of Eight & Bayside 10K
Pieces of Eight and the Bayside 10K take place on the Gosport coastline on 4 October 2026, with an 8 mile race and a 10K both starting from Bayside Cabin beside Stokes Bay. The courses follow mixed terrain trails around the coastal area, offering views across the Solent, harbour and surrounding landscape as runners navigate the varied paths and changing surfaces of the waterfront routes.
Chip timing and on-course support are provided for both main races. A Mini Mile Pirate Run runs alongside the longer events for younger participants. The event raises funds for GAFIRS, the independent lifeboat service serving the Gosport and Fareham area.
