About Pierrepont Plod Summer
A six-hour trail challenge awaits at Holme Pierrepont Country Park in Nottinghamshire on 16 August 2026. The Pierrepont Plod Summer takes runners across wetland terrain and tarmac sections on a flexible format where participants can cover as much ground as they choose within the time limit. The venue, an active watersports centre, remains open to the public, so runners share the space with walkers, kayakers and other users.
Two routes are available depending on weather and conditions, both described as extremely flat with a long tarmac section. The course is fully signposted, and the start point is marked by gazebo and flags on the grass area by the lakeside. Portable and public toilets are available onsite, with support and refreshments provided at race headquarters.
