About Pierrepont Plod
The Pierrepont Plod takes place at Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Watersports Centre in Gedling, Nottinghamshire on 15 August 2027. This six-hour trail challenge invites participants to complete as many laps of the looped circuit as possible within the time limit, or to settle for a single lap. The course winds alongside the rowing lake and traverses terrain scattered with mud, roots and puddles, set across generally flat ground with occasional gentle climbs.
Two alternative routes are available depending on ground conditions, with the organiser typically favouring the south route but confirming nearer the time which path will be in use. This flexibility accounts for seasonal flooding that can affect parts of the park during wetter months.
