About Pilgrim's Reckoning
Pilgrim's Reckoning is an ultra-running event organised by Thunder Races that takes runners into the heart of Bedfordshire's countryside. Held on 11-12 September 2027, the main race follows the historic Bunyan Trail on an 81-mile circular route with a 24-hour time limit. A shorter 40-mile trail option is also available for those looking for a different challenge.
Both routes are fully waymarked and run through countryside, forests and villages. The event provides seven aid stations throughout the course, drop-bag support at a designated checkpoint, medical support on route and live tracking for participants. The race is based at Bedford Greenacres Independent School on Manton Lane.
