About Pilgrims Cross Fell Race
Pilgrims Cross Fell Race takes runners into the West Pennine Moors for a 10.7 km trail race across challenging fell terrain. Based in Rossendale, Lancashire, the event features 390 metres of climbing over its course, which has followed a new route since 2022. The race starts and finishes at Sunnybank Social Club in Helmshore.
This fell race takes place on 19 August 2026 and forms the third event in the Rossendale Sportsshoes midweek series. Entry is available on the day only, and teams of three are welcome to compete together. Runners should come prepared for moorland conditions and be ready to wear or carry full body cover if the weather deteriorates during the race.
