About Pilgrims Trail 60
The Pilgrims Trail 60 follows the North Wales Pilgrims Way, a historic walking route that connects Bangor Cathedral in Gwynedd with Aberdaron on the Llŷn Peninsula. This multi-day event takes place from 12 to 14 June 2027, covering approximately 96.5 kilometres over the course of the 60 pilgrim miles. Runners start at Bangor Cathedral at 10:00am and navigate the route using existing waymarkers supplemented by event-specific markings.
The event accommodates up to 250 competitors and operates under a 24-hour cut-off time. Participants receive support throughout, including GPS tracking, seven food station checkpoints, and one drop bag facility. The package also includes a competitor t-shirt, a Pilgrims Trail 60 passport, and a finisher medal. An optional coach service runs on race morning from Aberdaron back to Bangor Cathedral, arranged separately.
