About PIM Half Marathon & 5K
The PIM Running Festival unfolds across the grounds and surrounding countryside of Crathes Castle Estate near Banchory in Aberdeenshire. Runners start and finish on the lawn in front of this historic National Trust for Scotland property, which provides a distinctive focal point for the event.
The half marathon covers 13.1 miles primarily on quiet country roads to the north and east of the estate, with a route that extends towards Drum Castle before returning to the finish. The course includes a couple of level off-road farm track sections alongside the road running. The 5K takes a shorter route, remaining within the castle grounds themselves. A 1.5K children's race also runs within the estate for primary school aged runners.
Finishers across all distances receive a medal and event t-shirt.
