About Plain Crazy
A roughly 13-mile trail run across hilly terrain starting and finishing in Warminster, Plain Crazy Winter takes place on New Year's Eve 2026. The route is described as scenic but desolate, with conditions that can bring wind, snow and cold weather typical of winter running on exposed plains. Runners aged 16 and over can take on the challenge, which has a three-hour cut-off time to account for potential winter conditions.
The event supports The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with prizes awarded to the top three male and female runners plus veteran categories at V40, V50, V60 and V70. Water stations and first aid cover are provided on course, and a GPX route file is available in advance. Parking is at Imber Avenue, with the start and finish at Pepper Place, both in Warminster.
