About Portsmouth/Langstone Coastal Half Marathon
Two half marathons across a weekend in February offer trail runners a chance to explore Portsmouth's waterfront from different angles. The Langstone Harbour route starts on Hayling Island and takes in multi-terrain and trail sections around the harbour, finishing near Eastney Point, with an optional ferry crossing along the way. The second race, based at South Parade Pier in Southsea, loops around the eastern edge of Portsea Island along the coast.
Runners can take on one or both races across the weekend of 13-14 February. The Langstone course is notably trail-heavy with muddy sections, while the Portsmouth route follows a more exposed seafront line. Both are accurately measured half marathons at 13.1 miles each.
