About Quayside 5k & 10k
On 5 August 2026, the Quayside 5K & 10K takes place on the Newcastle Quayside. Runners can choose between 5 km or 10 km distances on a flat trail course that passes under and around some of Newcastle's iconic bridges, including the Swing Bridge, High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge and Redheugh Bridge.
The route follows the Quayside in both directions, offering accessibility for runners of all abilities. The Custom House serves as the event base. Newcastle Central Station is the closest Metro and train station, with public car parks available within walking distance on both sides of the Quayside, though there is no dedicated event parking.
