About Race for Life Chelmsford
Taking place on 18 July 2027, Race for Life Chelmsford is a 10 km trail race organised by Cancer Research UK in the grounds of Hylands Park. The course traverses mainly grass with gravel and woodland paths, featuring slight inclines and undulating terrain throughout. Participants start and finish on open grass behind Flint Cottage.
The route remains fully contained within the park. Wet weather may soften grass and woodland sections, and the ground can be uneven underfoot. The event includes refreshments, toilets, bag drop and parking facilities. Blue badge parking is available approximately 100 metres from the site, with a designated drop-off zone, cycle spaces in the main car park, and a nearby First Bus stop (service 351). The nearest railway station is roughly 3.5 miles away.
