About Race for Life Dudley
A 5 km trail race through Himley Country, this Race for Life event takes place on 4 July 2027 at the grounds of Himley Hall near Dudley. The course starts and finishes on the grassed area in front of the hall, looping past the lake and the hall itself. Runners will experience a mix of paths and grass fields, with the route mostly flat and featuring just one incline. Ground conditions vary with the weather; while the start and finish areas are generally firm underfoot, they include some uneven sections that may become soft and muddy in wet conditions.
The event is organised by Cancer Research UK. Participants receive a fundraising pack, customisable back sign, training plans and community support. Himley Hall offers parking within the grounds, with Blue Badge spaces located around 100 metres from the event site. Dogs are welcome and the terrain is suitable for pushchairs, though the uneven ground and predominantly grassy route mean it is not wheelchair accessible. Refreshments and toilets are available on site.
