About Race for Life Northampton
Race for Life Northampton, organised by Cancer Research UK, takes place on 11 July 2027 at Abington Park. The event offers three distances across a trail course that combines paved pathways with grass running through the park. Much of the route ventures off the main paths and across open ground, with sections that can become boggy depending on weather conditions. The start and finish are both located on the same grass field at the top of the park, near the event car park.
The park has ample facilities including refreshments, toilets, and parking on grass. Blue badge spaces and dedicated volunteer parking are available in the car park, which also has a drop-off point. Bike racks are provided for those cycling to the event, and dogs are welcome. Northampton train station is roughly four miles away, with multiple bus routes serving the park. The race is chip timed, and participants receive a fundraising pack, customisable back sign, training support and a medal on completion.
