Those who fancy getting muddy for a good cause will find their match at this 5km trail event through Stanmer Park. Organised by Cancer Research UK, the Race for Life Pretty Muddy Brighton takes place on 3 July 2027 across cross-country terrain that winds through fields and woodland, with sections that can turn soft or muddy depending on the weather. Runners should be prepared for some steep inclines along the route.

The course starts and finishes on grass in the field opposite the Lower Lodges East Car Park, where participants gather for a warm-up and course instructions. On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets, with Blue Badge parking available on grass around 150 metres away. Those using public transport can catch buses near Stanmer Park or walk from Falmer train station in about eight minutes.
