Race for Life Pretty Muddy Glasgow takes place on 12 June 2027 at Strathclyde Country Park near Avon Bridge in South Lanarkshire. This 5 km obstacle event, organised by Cancer Research UK, combines running with mud and obstacle challenges to raise money for cancer research.
The course follows a relatively flat loop around Strathclyde Loch, starting on a gravel path by the Watersports Centre and finishing on grass near the Sandy Beach car park. The route heads north along the loch before returning down the eastern shore, with approximately 1 km between start and finish areas. In wet weather, parts of the site may become soft underfoot. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes, and participants must be at least 13 years old. Refreshments, toilets and parking are available on site. General car parking is limited, though blue badge spaces are located about 150 m from the event on tarmac. Strathclyde Road bus stop and Motherwell train station are nearby options for public transport.
