About Race for Life Pretty Muddy Northampton
This 5 km trail race takes runners through Abington Park on a mix of pathways and grass, featuring obstacles that challenge participants to climb, crawl and slide. Organised by Cancer Research UK, the event takes place on 10 July 2027, with waves departing every 15 minutes from the top of the field where parking and facilities are located.
Participants must be aged 13 or over; younger children can take part in dedicated Pretty Muddy Kids events. Marshals are on hand throughout the course, and runners may skip any obstacles if they wish. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Parking is available on grass at the venue, with Blue Badge spaces in the general car park, and Northampton train station is approximately 4 miles away with regular bus services also serving the park.
